Make America South Africa Again

Okay here's the deal. I agree that we were in an exceptional time in the world, with no incumbent government being reelected. We have not seen that since 1905. However, it is irresponsible and living in a make-believe world to ignore the elephant in the room. Pun intended. Trump has surrounded himself with apartheid loving South Africans like Elon Musk and Peter Thiel (& others). This election was about 2042 and not 2024. It was about trying to create a permanent white ruling minority when America becomes majority minority in the future. The rise of Trump came in response to the first African American president and was built on the birtherism lie. These people are hell-bent on focusing on a losing past and are on the wrong side of history (Slavery, the Lost Cause, Jim Crow, Nazi Germany, Apartheid South Africa). If they wonder how things turned out with apartheid South Africa I have two words for them: Nelson Mandela. They may have won a temporary battle for the next 4 years but they will lose the war for the future. This is the elephant in the room.
