the false impression that he got a graduate degree (he got a bachelors). Traditionally when one in business circles says someone got a degree/graduated from Wharton they mean their prestigious MBA program, not an undergraduate degree. TCF abuses that informality/ambiguity, and it is implausible that he isn't doing so intentionally.
