(36,957 posts)radiation treatments for the prostate. The hospital kept him alive until his Medicare ran out. On the day Medicare
ran out he was in a coma. The doctors came in and talked to my mother that morning. They gave him less than a week to
live and suggested we take him home to die. We got him transfered to a veterans hospital. In one day they had him out of his coma
and he lived another 7 years. That is why I have little sympathy for an insurance company CEO. I am sure there are a million similar
stories.

I think it might inspire some better messaging for Democratic candidates in 2026 and 2028. The insurance companies and their enablers make wonderful targets for a political campaign. Everyone hates their health insurance company. It's got downright bipartisan appeal. Dems have been unsuccessful in appealing to people's better angels so, maybe it's time to appeal to their grievances.
