Montgomery County Judge Gail A. Weilheimer Confirmed for Federal Bench
Before the Biden Administration ends its term in January, there are still several judicial vacancies at the federal level that they will attempt to fill. Earlier this week, the U.S. Senate announced that one of these vacancies will be filled by Judge Gail A. Weilheimer, who will now be on the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania. Before getting this nomination, Weilheimer served on the Montgomery County Court of Common Pleas in Norristown starting in 2014. Before that, she served as senior counsel at Wisler Pearlstine, LLP in Blue Bell, PA from 2006 to 2013 and as a litigation associate at Frank & Rosen LLP in Elkins Park, PA from 2003 to 2006.
For decades, Judge Weilheimer has served the people of Southeastern Pennsylvania with integrity. From the Philadelphia District Attorneys Office to the Montgomery County Court of Common Pleas, her experience makes her exceptionally qualified to take on this new role, said Pennsylvania Senator Bob Casey. I was pleased to vote to confirm Judge Weilheimer and I look forward to seeing her continue to serve the people of the Eastern District.
Senator John Fetterman said he was proud to support her nomination.
Judge Gail Weilheimer has dedicated her career to fighting for justice and serving her community with distinction. Her confirmation to the Eastern District of Pennsylvania will be a win for justice and a win for the people of our Commonwealth, Fetterman said.
