There are several reasons why a completely incompetent and unqualified individual won. Because like with medical problems, it’s never just one thing- it’s always a combination of things that act in concert or potentiate each other that leads to a state of disease. Here it’s a perfect storm of mostly deliberately ignorant people (due to poor schooling, religious and cultural bias, and siloing into their preferred political news sources) meeting a supreme con man who got a pass from the MSM that failed to deliver truth, along with a skewed and manipulated social media storm.

The mainstream media, which is supposed to be less obviously partisan, has become an apologist for drumpf and a source of RW propaganda now. People tend to silo themselves in their own bias bubble, so the truth might never be seen -by the audience who really needs to see it - if the so-called non-partisan news continues to sane wash the crazy stuff.

Too many voters seem to think it's the candidate's duty to persuade them to get off their bums and vote. To my mind, it's a citizen's duty to examine the choices and vote accordingly.
