bank accounts exposed to the greed of Wall Street investors. Crypto has nothing to do with this.

2. sure, but the crypto folks were motivated in part to demonstrate that this is not a necessary property of a 'currency'.

And historically this is simply not true. It is a feature of modern currencies.

I just object to the statement that a currency has to be government controlled. It doesn't.

does a great deal for arguing the validity of crypto ... While taking your point about 'government issue' not necessarily being a qualifier either.

crypto currencies have massive issues and are not particularly useful as 'currency' for exchange commodities, unless you are a criminal.
