A President, a politician, a bureaucrat, all have limited power in our country. If they go too far out of line, we have laws to bring them to heel.
There are no laws to protect us from billionaires (or, coming very soon, trillionaires). There is no legal solution when a rich person uses their money to undermine our society, to write their own laws, to control our government, to take over our economy, to turn working folks into serfs.
We are all going to be screwed on the altar of capitalism, and there is nothing we can do about it.
