Since the election I have read countless articles and posts about how the Democrats need to be better at "messaging. " As I survey the information ethos we live in I ask the question what has the right wing's messaging been? Lies.
I am the father of IVF (he is still saying it).
They're eating the pets.
I saved the Affordable Care Act.
I have concepts of a plan.
Inflation is at 40% (it was 2.1%).
They are emptying out prisons and insane asylums and sending them to the border.
They decided long ago that the only way to win is to lie about their agenda and pretend that they are running on the Democrats' agenda and then when elected implement their very unpopular Project 2025 agenda that no one in their right mind would vote for. Their strategy and messaging has always been three things: lie, lie, and lie.

(7,648 posts)those who complain about messaging. We should now lie and make completely false promises to win over voters. I think Harris/Walz ran a great campaign but so many were fooled and fell for lies and propaganda.

(14,552 posts)The media is majority controlled by Republicans.
Why would they LET their opponents win?
Democratic strategy (is there a strategy at all?) when it comes to the media has been woefully inadequate.
I fear that it is too late to catch up.
The first hand lesson for me is that the media and its ownership are the most important elements of democracy.
I hope I am wrong about it being too late.
