Rep. Nancy Mace Threatens Media For Reporting On Handshake She Says Was Assault

Nancy Mace now says she was assaulted! Thus making threats to the media who say otherwise? That's awfully rich, Nancy! A handshake is NOT assault seen by witnesses to the fact. Mace goes so far as to tell a far-right influencer, “I have a warning for any media outlet that says I wrongly, falsely accused this guy of physically accosting me, of assaulting me.”

A former Mace staffer said the Republican is engaged in "a pathetic ploy for attention."Rep. Nancy Mace (R-S.C.) says she was assaulted at a foster youth advocacy event earlier this week; witnesses say it was just a handshake.

Whatever the truth, the South Carolina Republican sure would be a lot happier if the media stopped reporting on it.

13. OK! 1st of all

she is a public figure and as such it is wildly difficult to prove defamation. All of her “look at meeeee” antics make her even more public so even harder to prove.

2nd it is much easier for a private citizen to prove defamation by a public figure like mace.

She really should be treading more carefully.

15. Whenever Mace is being interviewed she always finds a way

to mention that she is a victim of sexual assault. If she considers a handshake as an assault, it makes me very dubious about her past sexual assault claims being legit. Maybe my statement isn't politically correct but she does want to grab the spotlight every opportunity she gets.
