Donald Trump Cannot Commit To Lowering Grocery Prices In America

After months of telling the American public that he would lower grocery prices in our nation, Donald Trump is now admitting that he may not be able to lower grocery costs for Americans. In a new interview with Time Magazine, Trump was asked: "If the prices of groceries don't come down, will your presidency be a failure?"

His answer shocked many:

"I don't think so. Look, they got them up. I'd like to bring them down. It's hard to bring things down once they're up. You know, it's very hard."

Just months ago in August, Trump struck a different tone on the campaign trail stating:

"From the day I take the oath of office, we’ll rapidly drive prices down, and make America affordable again. Prices will come down. You just watch. They’ll come down and they’ll come down fast."

1. Well, maybe it's because nobody in the conventional media (TV, Radio, Newspapers,

Magazines) bothered to ask Trump HOW he was going to lower them.

6. I'm beginning to think Americans don't give a shit about what things cost.

That's why he's hellbent on establishing a dictatorship so everyone is compelled by force to do whatever he says...

with zero fucking intention of following through... But nobody will dare call out Dear Leader for bait-and-switch....

What pisses me off the most is before 2016, the media and voters were not only generally pretty good at sniffing out when candidates were pandering and just telling crowds whatever they wanted to hear, such shameless and cynical behavior from candidates was universally called out from both sides of the aisle...

But ever since 2016, the media and punditsphere have REGULARLY accused Dems of having a "credibility gap" while Donnie gets a free pass. Hell, there is literally NOTHING that Donnie hasn't gotten a 100% free pass for -- Even his bromance with Epstein getting revealed this year...

Like I said, I don't know what the hell the "rules" are anymore, and it makes me wanna holler in frustration....

MAGATs think groceries cost too much? Well I got news for them, they aren't getting their cheap eggs any time soon. Instead they are going to lose their health insurance, social security benefits, etc. Unfortunately we will also have to suffer because of MAGATs.

This election result had very little to do with "grocery prices" for voters... Remember all the breathless media talk about jobs and the economy (even though Obama had brought unemployment down to 4% in 2016) and the oh-so-holy white working class in the 2016 aftermath? I remember a republican exit poll on twitter after that election, and "the economy" DIDN'T MAKE THE TOP TEN LIST OF MOST IMPORTANT ISSUES TO THEM(!) The bottom line is they voted for the hatred, and Donnie hates the same people they hate, and wants to punish the same people they want punished. That's the bottom line and no ad nauseam talk about groceries, gas prices or crime (All three of which were brought down by Biden/Harris along with an all-time high Dow Jones) is going to change that...
