Drone sightings over Northern New Jersey have sparked feelings of confusion and fear from residents and local officials alikebut some attention-seeking, alien-obsessed politicians in D.C. appear to be milking the fear cycle for all its worth.
In a video rant posted to her X account Thursday, Georgia Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene insisted that the governments continued inability to identify the strange lights hovering over the Garden State was total bullshit that put every American in danger.
They can track down a guy that just killed a CEO, but they cant identify what nightly drones are and where theyre coming from, Greene continued, referring to Luigi Mangione, the 26-year-old charged with the murder of UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson.
Secondly, if theyre telling the truth, then this country is in horrible shape. Were all in danger, Greene added. I mean, seriously, if our great government cant identify what these drones aretheyre flying every single night, the people are sitting out there videoing with their cell phonesthen no American is safe. And I have no respect if our government cannot say what these are.

(4,218 posts)It's ridiculous for the feds to tell people they can't track these drones when people are filming them on phones from their back yards. I mean, one of our DU folks was also reporting seeing them. That having been said, I assume the feds aren't telling us what they know. I do wish they would treat backyard report people a little more seriously sometimes.

(5,144 posts)what folks are seeing aren't drones. If anyone has any actual images other than lights dancing about in the sky, I would be v interested in seeing them (I have Googled and not found any).
