(17,232 posts)I shake my head in dismay at my own inability--after more than a month now--of thinking of nothing but how to plan for the next four years and really remaining just as confused and bewildered as I was on November 6.
When all is said and done, what you've suggested is basically my plan. I have scrubbed my Twitter account, stopped trolling MAGAs, stocked up on certain necessities, made minor adjustments to my finances and thought in a very broad way about my risk tolerance--this has to be a different calculation than it was in 2016, when the consequences of resistance were less worrisome.
And I'll be on the lookout for really good ideas by our various leaders.

All support goes to people who need it, and who didn't choose to be in this situation -- anything I can do to lift them up, protect them, keep them from feeling isolated, and help them thrive and outlive the sorry motherfuckers who wanted this.
Think. Again.

And I won't be buying anything I don't need, won't be participating in consumerism, cutting out any and all for-profit media, buy only local mom and pop (no corporate), and generally doing my bit to wreck their "economy".
