(19,002 posts)Nicely done! I'm not a crier, nevet have been, but I was deeply movedby these. This one, though, is my favorite, because what a contrast!
I love this one, too, but I'll force myself to stop here. (Because if I don't, I might be here all night! )

by Sarah WynnTue, May 4th 2021 at 1:52 PM
The Carter Center posted the photo on their verified Twitter account Monday night. It shows President
Joe Biden and first lady Jill Biden meeting with former President Jimmy Carter and former first lady
Rosalynn Carter at their home in Georgia. (Photo courtesy: The Carter Center, CNN Newsource)
Biden paid a visit to the 39th President at his home before a drive-in rally near Atlanta last week.
Jimmy and Rosalynn Carter did not attend Biden's inauguration in January as they have spent the
COVID-19 pandemic mostly at their home in Plains, Georgia. It was the first time the couple missed
the ceremonies since Carter was sworn in as the 39th president.

(4,265 posts)Hope you have a good New Year. It's hard to wish that, knowing what's coming into the White House. But I appreciate all of the laughs and tears you have provided for the DU community.
Stay well!

(13,744 posts)the reason we only got one term of him was because a lot of people (and you know who you are) used him as a synonym for "failure":, backstabbing, blaming, taking points from the other side, mid eat, all the same crap that kept out Kamala was tested out on him. I just hope someday, Kamala becomes president and makes these same froce eat another round of crow like they are now.
