The slow walk to fascism just broke into a sprint

As the silent Dems sit on their hands mouth shut or hold their little signs.

Alert on this post if you choose, but if you don’t like the truth, then just keep lying to yourself that the concept of rules and decorum will still win the day.

But what should they do? Do like the repukes do to us; heckle, berate, call him a liar, chant bullshit. As long as we don’t, he will continue to believe he controls it all.

If on national tv a unified democratic congress chanted at the top of their lungs bullshit over and over, the orange asshole would get a hard taste of reality and would be put off his game and rattled.

He knows they won’t do that he knows that he can say any and all fucking halfwitted shit he wants without any repercussions at all. And that’s how he wins. If you want to fight a bully, you have to throw sand in their eyes.

I am so fucking disgusted. We were once the party that fought hard and took no shit from anyone. That party hasn’t existed for a very very long time.

And it fucking damn shows

https://www.newsweek.com/trump-administration-collapse-james-carville-2035164

Carville said on Fox News last week that Democrats do not need to be "aggressive" in combating the Trump administration because the "collapse is already underway."

He said: "Poll numbers are declining. The collapse is already underway. Let's see when [they] put the Medicaid budget when [they] put the tax, the $4.5 billion, trillion dollars of tax cuts to wealthy people. Just let the ball come to you. We don't need to be aggressive now."

Against the GOP for the past 20 years at least. “Watch the polls, the GOP will bury themselves with the public, and we can kick back”. Well how has that worked out? Not very well from where I am sitting.

Or how the people feel.

He wants to be a dictator.the days of polls having any sort of meaning as ended.

Carville can go piss up a rope. He’s still stuck in the past and thinks that “good solid” ideas will win the day.

We are so far past that, that it appears quaint.

While I am disappointed that there are dems supporting his cabinet choices - after Jan 20, no dem should have voted for any cabinet choice, and I think they should be doing more to draw attention to his grab of the nation's purse strings, I think the action today is appropriate. Both the signs, and the few who were vocal. It does us no good to risk the seats we do have in Congress.

Let those outside of Congress be loud and demanding and get arrested outside of Tesla. Let the attorneys and the Dem AGs file suits. Let artists use their art as a weapon. Let those who typically spend lots boycott corporations that fall in line around Trump. Let those who are too battered right now step back and rest.

There are enough things to do, and enough ways to do them. We don't have to all do the same thing.

Then when he reached the podium, walk out en masse.

ANYTHING but sit through this Gishap Gallop of LIES and INSULTS against Joe Biden and the entire Democratic Party. He spewed "radical left lunatics" as he turned and gestured towards all the Democrats still in their seats.

I'm watching because my wife always watches these events, however repulsive. I've been shouting so many profanities at the TV, that our dog came over to comfort me.

...then should have left the chamber while declaring that there are no kings (in spite of the corrupt Supreme Court's legal hallucinations).

There is no need for maintaining decorum with Trump: he does not handle being angry well. Zelenskyy angered him, and he looked like a three-year-old in front of the world. That was shameful. If the Democrats had taken a stand as suggested, they would have been speaking the truth and not throwing a tantrum like Trump did with Zelenskyy. Trump, Vance, and Johnson would have collectively come unglued.

Also, keep in mind that Trump is still unfit as an insurrectionist to have taken the oath of office. That remains the truth in spite of what the corrupt Roberts Court decided. Any nonpartisan interpretation of the Constitution would have denied Trump the Presidency. So, Trump being President is a violation of decorum at its most fundamental level.

History shows that to be true.

If they aren't fascists, then we won't be planning now to take such an action. Cosplay facists are dealt with by the normal means of defeating them in elections.

First I was talking about a very vocal protest. If you equate that to violence. You have a lot to learn about protesting

Also, first blood has been spilled by them or have you forgotten about January 6th?

Violence is coming but it won’t be by us. And don’t act all surprised when it does

Good day.

History shows that to be true

They need to be killed before they kill you.

But that's only if they truly are fascists. If they are not, then they can be defeated by getting out the vote, protests, calling your representatives and such.

The orange assholes speech.

Give it time.

That’s why I keep saying that when the violence comes, it will be less a civil war and more a revolution.

The maga morons who FAFO with their votes are pissed now. And while we don’t like them or them liking us, the enemy of my enemy comes to mind.
