1. Wanting to end democracy isn't the same thing as actually doing it.

So far, they have been a colossal failure. They will never succeed anyway. These people don't understand the difference between sectarianism and secularism.

That is the problem. They way overstate their support by the public. They have always been on the fringe and always will be.

There is no turning back the clock to an imaginary time. They can try to force it, but the pushback will be too great, especially among women, since women are the primary targets.

In Trump's regime. Along with the Alt-Right, but all ride along with permission and to the tune of the technofascists who are not looking back at all and are busy putting in place the tech and the destruction of central governance and rule of law that will allow them to splice their monstrous political beliefs onto this country.

"Christians" -- LOL

These racist thugs are about as Christian as Hannibal Lecter. And speaking of him, whatever happened to the tyrant's favorite guy, anyway? Too busy not knowing anything about war plans being leaked, I guess.

As Shakespeare writes in The Merchant of Venice, "The devil can cite scripture for his purpose." (Many "Christians" think that's a Bible verse, BTW.)
The lying MAGAts are incapable of admitting reality. Christians don't condemn those who are different from them. "Jesus loves the little children, red or yellow black or white, they are precious in His sight," as the song goes. Christians don't take a billion dollars away from school lunch programs and food pantries while spending the same amount on TV ads that tell lies so big they'll barely fit on a 100-inch screen.

There was a time when I went to church every Sunday and every Wednesday night. But I wouldn't set foot in any church now because I know most of them are filled with MAGA hypocrites. There are few things worse than a religious hypocrite, and the DC tyrant is the leader of that pack.
