""Maintaining the physical infrastructure and specialized technology for digitizing paper records cost the American taxpayer over $657 million in Fiscal Year 2024 alone.""
That has NOTHING WHATEVER TO DO with the cost of printing SS checks. The huge figure for "digitizing paper records" refers to old records -- birth certificates, contracts, maps, etc. that were ORIGINALLY produced on paper ONLY and are now being scanned into a digital format. These costs will continue for years, if not decades.
ALL SS checks are produced BY COMPUTER and printing the checks is only the last step -- the digital record is ALREADY in the computer system. The incremental cost is minimal; computers have been doing this for over seven decades. Turnip and his lickspittles are fabricating implausible excuses to fool the most gullible of the gullible -- i.e., the Red Hat People.

Again, w/ the lies. Can't he ever say the truth? I don't think he can, even it (the truth) were to hit in the face.

When there is a lie like this, question is: what does this divert from?

When they push easily refuted lies it is because they feel a real need to divert attention by tying people up in the refutations.
Not just broadly like Signal/Houthi/gate but specifically in the area of Social Security and government cuts.
What are they diverting attention from?

For March, the number of SS payments by check was just 455,601.
