The dismantling of the only government agency devoted to older adults & people w/disabilities

You may have heard about this, but HHS (RFK jr, that is) announced that the Agency for Community Living, which serves older adults, people with disabilities and the non profits that serve them, is going to be absorbed by a soon to be created gargantuan agency that will include (get this): Centers for Medicare & Medicaid and the Agency for Children & Families. This is only going to create chaos, decrease funding and consequently, crucial services to older adults and people with disabilities. The rest of the announcement is similarly outrageous (make American healthy again is the new slogan).

On a personal note, so many of my colleagues who work at older adult centers, case management agencies & home delivered meal providers are now in danger of losing their jobs. And my job, which is funded by CMS and the USDA (for SNAP assistance) is also in danger.

9. On top of being evil it is also bad economic policy

First changes should be gradual not sudden. Second these cuts will shrink our GDP as the ultra wealthy have very low income multipliers. The wealthy spend very slowly and often within their own ilk much later. This typevof spending directly funds local wages that continue to multiply. I'm progressive, so I want help provided either way. But these moves can and will shrink our entire economy beyond all the negative effects these short sighted moves will bring.

13. Remember what Donald Trump said about his disabled great nephew

And the father of the great nephew was Fred Trump, Donald Trump's nephew. And Fred Trump wrote a book about it a couple years ago. I don't know the name of the book.

Trump actually thinks if a child is born with disabilities, that it should just be "let-go" because of the amount of money that will be needed to keep the child alive.

About half of our society are just "throw-away" people to that criminal in the WH & his cabal.
