White-Cain was appointed as Trump's special advisor to the Faith and Opportunity Initiative, a position created within the White House Office of Public Liaison in 2019.
Her appointment followed years of close ties with Trump, dating back to 2002 when she became his spiritual counsellor. She also delivered the invocation at his 2017 inauguration, making history as the first female clergy member to do so ...
“The most significant distinction here is that under both Republican and Democratic administrations, the Faith Office has thought well of religious charity in this country,” Michael Wear, a writer and founder of a Christian nonprofit who previously worked in Barack Obama’s faith-based partnerships office, told NOTUS.
“This might be the first administration that has set out to disparage faith-based charity in this country” ...

(122,245 posts)Paula White-Cain, a televangelist and spiritual advisor to President Donald Trump, is facing criticism for a video in which she claims “supernatural blessings” will be released to those who donate to her ministry ahead of the Passover holiday.
In a video titled “Passover Season: God’s Divine Appointment With You!” posted March 23 on YouTube, White, 58, claims that honoring God during Passover, which begins April 12 at sundown, will unlock divine — and monetary — rewards.
"I believe that when you honor God on Passover starting on April 12th at sundown through Good Friday on the 18th and concluding on Easter Sunday, you can receive these seven supernatural blessings for you and your house," she said ...

(122,245 posts)... Paula White’s net worth is estimated between $5 million and $10 million. She has made her fortune through book sales, TV preaching, and leadership of large ministries. She once led the Without Walls International Church in Tampa and later founded Paula White Ministries.
A major source of her income has been the prosperity gospel, a controversial belief that financial blessings are linked to faith-based donations. White has frequently encouraged her followers to “sow seeds” of money to receive divine favor

(2,347 posts)but it just further confirms MY 'belief' that religion is taking us down. What a bunch of dumb, stupid, ignorant folks who support people like her.
Science, logic, and reason have taken a back seat to this crap. And I have Christian family members (all Democrats) who I consider to be intelligent, but to keep things pleasant I know where to draw the line when it comes to talking about the Bible, Jesus, and doG.
I'm actually getting to the point where I couldn't care less about adult humans. The majority of our charitable contributions and our estate plan are to organizations supporting animals, the rest to children.

(122,245 posts)... Paula White-Cain, Donald Trump’s favorite pastor, says she will deliver seven supernatural blessings “just in time for Passover season” … provided you send her $1,000.
Her promise of seven blessings is based on Exodus 23, according to Baptist News Global. The chapter ironically begins with these words: “You shall not spread a false report. You shall not join hands with the wicked to act as a malicious witness. You shall not follow a majority in wrongdoing; when you bear witness in a lawsuit, you shall not side with the majority so as to pervert justice.”
The irony only thickens with Verse 9, considering White-Cain’s connection to Trump: “You shall not oppress a resident alien; you know the heart of an alien, for you were aliens in the land of Egypt” ...

(122,245 posts)... Paula White, President Donald Trump's White House faith advisor, is a major proponent of a controversial evangelical doctrine known as "prosperity gospel" or "prosperity theology" — which claims that God blesses the rich with affluence for making moral decisions and that poverty is God's way of punishing immorality.
Critics of the doctrine, both Catholic and Protestant, argue that it is totally unbiblical — as Jesus said that " it is easier for a camel to walk through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God" (Matthew 19:24) ...

Hey! Are you looking for a good investment opportunity? Well, boy, do we have something for you! OK, it’s not necessarily an investment so much as it is a lady promising you that if you give her $1000 before Easter, God will, among other things “assign an angel to you” and make you rich. What a deal!
Now, in some circumstances this might sound a tad suspicious, but Paula White is the Senior Advisor to the newly established White House Faith Office, which must mean she is very trustworthy and would never, ever lie to us simply to enrich herself. She is also married to a guy from Journey who is not Steve Perry, so that’s … some kind of endorsement, I am sure ...
