Thus they try and stop a discussion on racial events, that might result in understanding and healing taking place, so that their racist 'Southern Strategy' still works for them.

While it doesn't do much good to dwell in the past, it's certainly relevant since the GOP clearly wants to take this nation back a few hundred years in many ways.
