(68,644 posts)I think there are times that the EPA has failed us, too, but more often than not puts the peoples' best interests first.
IMHO, many three letter agencies like the PTO and FDA have been tasked to balance the interests of the people with the interests of commerce.
Patents, for example, are granted ONLY if the inventor fully divulges the details of their invention, so that others might benefit from it.
I can appreciate that duality, but I think the peoples' interests have increasingly become less and less well protected.

(38,197 posts)If so, nope, not in their current form. It's an insult really, like Midol and Pamprin. The FDA and the EPA along with Midol and Pamprin are all insults to thinking people who realize they are not working as intended.
