(28,749 posts)But I actually don't think if it's a contested nomination she will win.
But as of yet no one is contesting anything.

(83,069 posts)I can't imagine you think she will lose to him? I don't think Biden beats her either.

(28,749 posts)She is tough to beat.

(147,990 posts)We don't know who will be running in the primaries. From where I sit, though, it looks like Hillary Clinton will end up on the ballot in November, 2016. Whoever is the nominee will have my vote, and should have the vote of all Democrats.

(40,416 posts)Who knows? Certainly none here, yet alone anywhere.
This never-ending presidential election mindset has to end. It is one of the worst cultural malignancies of the USA. The UK has national elections on a few weeks notice. And they even have more than two parties (even if one ignores the Silly Walks party).
Yes, it is a bit of a mess. But it is a far better system than the USA, where the media has actually convinced people that we should be in perpetual presidential campaign mode.
And people wonder why so many don't vote.
At this time I do not give a fuck who is, or is not running for US President in 2016. Ask me in two years, or so, which will be still far too soon.
If you disagree, I would argue that you are all sheeple to the media hype.
Thanks for the opportunity to rant.

(40,416 posts)Again, the 24/7 news media has actually convinced people that the USA should be forever in presidential election mode.
If people want to follow that road, so be it. But I see it as a fool's path.

(20,277 posts)I agree.
Perpetual election time just manages to make people numb a little. So much blather, all the time. Throw in big money and it's a recipe for low turnout.
A few weeks notice would allow for time to delve into the issues without all the added snark.

(21,925 posts)If Jeb is the nominee and has his family with him on the convention stage, we won't see George anywhere near there. A nominee will shun his own brother.

(7,908 posts)me to predict the outcome. (I suck at predictions anyway.) Good poll, though! I'm going to be rooting for (and maybe volunteering for) Sanders, should he switch party registration. It's usually over by the time the CA primary happens.

(270 posts)I suppose you never know. Somebody could come from somewhere and catch her. I don't see it though. We're still over a year away from the election but that's close enough to have heard about possible candidates. The only names I've heard are Bernie, Webb, O'Malley, and Cuomo. The last two may not even run.

(13,598 posts)There are a great many people who could become the Democratic nominee.
I would say that Hillary's chances are not greatly dissimilar to everyone else's put together.
