Just because the former GOP nominees and their families do not support the current GOP nominee (with the exception of Bob Dole I guess), that does not absolve them in any way from their positions at the time of their tenure/election, in my opinion.
Does the romanticization of past GOP nominees in this election cycle upset you?

If you know history your are pretty much immune to this stuff. If you don't know history, well, you REALLY need to learn history. Trust me on this.

(12,246 posts)people like to idolize, feel warm about all kinds of the visibly wrongs things and people, giving fame and wealth an almost holy aura and the word greatness so thoroughly abused as to be a criminal absurdity. Reagan for example, the current avatar of the GOP survivalist is the most legendary empty shell any relatively modern figure has descended so quickly to by totally ignoring all history- even the supposedly good stuff- whatever it was. A sucker in their own confidence game, that's all they present. A little celebrity shall lead them. A prophetic curse.
