Polls moved in 2020 for COVID safety now return to Civic Center

oley, Ala. – (OBA) – Foley voters will once again cast their ballots at the Civic Center for the 2025 municipal elections, returning to the location after polling stations were moved in 2020.

The municipal elections in Foley, along with most of Alabama, are scheduled for August 26, 2025. If a runoff is required for any race, it will take place on September 23, 2025.

On Monday, March 17, the Foley City Council approved the first reading of an ordinance to designate the Civic Center as the official polling place for the upcoming elections. A second reading and final vote on the ordinance will take place at a future council meeting.

During the last city election in 2020, the council moved the polling station to the Foley Event Center. The larger location in the Event Center allowed more space for social distancing during the COVID-19 outbreak at that time.
