The Project On Government Oversight is hiring a new Director of Communications

The Project On Government Oversight is hiring a new Director of Communications. The Director oversees a strong, well-working communications team that performs a variety of functions, from running social media campaigns and outreach to engaging in traditional media outreach.

Communication is one of the key ways POGO is able to accomplish its mission. The Director will be responsible for translating our investigations—which can be wonky and heavy on bureaucratic jargon—into a message that is both easily understood and of interest to people beyond the beltway. Through regular contact with broadcast, web, and print reporters and editors, the Director of Communications will build on current relationships with the media and cultivate new connections in order to make POGO a go-to source on stories about good government reforms, government accountability, open government, and government ethics.
