How many attended, what was the reaction in your town?
There were about 500 at mine in San Diego. While walking there and back with my sign tons of cars honked horns in support and other pedestrians, homeless people and their dogs all came up to me and shared their support and opinions. Everyone hates him, even their dogs (dogs are keen and can sense dangerous people).
This is a from San Diego's protest. I am holding the Lock Him Up sign in the 2nd photo. I saw a lot of Resistance friends (and sister) there too.

(52,312 posts)Hopefully future protests will have better locations that are supportive, or maybe in your area there aren't many Dems? The honking from passing cars and trucks has always been supportive and makes me feel stronger and gives me power to carry on. When I was a teacher and union rep I attended tons of teacher protests and when the cars and trucks honked their horns we all felt great! Support is like an adrenaline shot.

(21,615 posts)Thankfully, no MAGA protestors showed up.
We had lots of supportive honks, waves and shout outs from people driving through downtown!

(21,646 posts)I have had some issues with him over the years but you can't agree on everything and I think he is one of the best Dems in congress right now and he works hard at home in IL besides D.C.
I have no idea the size, and had to leave to a friend's office space eventually but this paper said this and other city marches are in the link at the end

It's already cold early in Chicago and more protests are expected . Can't believe we have to be protesting now right after win in record cold temps FDT

(52,312 posts)I wish our group had marched like we usually do. Maybe they weren't able to get permits in time. Perhaps the "thousands" of protesters had something to do with it too. RESISTANCE is PATRIOTIC!

(21,646 posts)about the attorney generals from 18 states mentioned in the end of the article ? Great news more action resistance
"Also on Thursday, 18 attorneys general, including Illinois Attorney General Lisa Madigan, called for the recusal of Whitaker from Muellers investigation.
In a letter sent directly to Whitaker, the attorneys general said Whitakers recusal was needed to maintain public trust in the integrity of the investigation.
She is retiring and will be missed but our newly elected AG in IL promises to fight Trump

It was an unprecedented public protest by non-Tea Party activists in my VERY red county. Of course, we had our share of shouted obscenities and insults from the local knuckle-draggers, but we mostly ignored them and did get quite a few "thumbs up" signs and honks of support.
As an example of what we are fighting against, by the time my wife and I got home there was already a post on Facebook that our protest had been "broken up" by police because we ("the libtard idiots" ) failed to get a permit. No permit was requested because none was required and the only contact with police was when we waved as they drove past.
There was discussion of making this a regular event, but nothing definite yet.
