I am starting to move toward your position. I'm not there yet but I'm moving.

My concern remains the same as always. If the House votes to impeach and the Senate does not convict, I fear that will hand Trump a re-election. It is clear that Trump ought by right to be impeached. However, the consequences of Trump being re-elected are simply too dire for the future of the Republic to consider. I am torn between a moral imperative and a political necessity.

A Dem rep said that she doesn't think it is so sure that the public will go the same route if this president is impeached. She said that if Congress shows the public the testimony of the witnesses and explains and educates them that they will respect that Mueller wanted to go this route for a reason. People will understand that this is a completely different ballgame.

I would like to think the American people can be persuaded but I fear too many will never hear the facts.
