WOODRUFF, S.C. (AP) — A South Carolina man killed at least seven people in a hidden crime spree that lasted more than a decade and only was uncovered when police rescued a woman chained at the neck in a storage container, authorities said Saturday.

Todd Kohlhepp accepted responsibility for an unsolved massacre one day before the 13th anniversary of the deaths that stumped authorities, said Sheriff Chuck Wright, first elected a year after the murders.

Kohlhepp, 45, confessed to the deaths of the owner, service manager, mechanic and bookkeeper of Superbike Motorsports, a motorcycle shop in Chesnee, in Spartanburg County.

Wright says Kohlhepp also showed law enforcement officers Saturday where he says he buried two of his other victims on his 95-acre property near Woodruff. Kohlhepp, in handcuffs and wearing an orange jumpsuit, was at the site for less than an hour.

6. After Kohlhepp was imprisoned for kidnapping and raping

that girl, his mother sent a letter to try to get his sentence reduced. Essentially "Yes I know my son kidnapped and raped that poor girl, but he walked her home after. He's actually pretty nice."

I seriously hate people.

out of prison early. If my son did that, I wouldn't lift a finger to help. Because hurting someone like that is unforgivable, and no parent should try to get their kid out of that.
"Did you do this?"
"Yes I did."
"Then I'm going to make sure you serve every second of your sentence."

Really, a crime like murder or rape could be the only thing that could make me turn against my kids. I know people love their kids, but come on. Her saying, essentially, "he walked her home after, so he's really a nice guy" disgusts me.

If you don't, I don't mind keeping it to myself. But if you want it, I'll tell you what I think (honestly).

that deserves to spend years in prison. It shows a level of disrespect for a fellow human that's inexcusable. It shows that you want power over another person, with sex being a secondary consideration. If someone told me that the only way I'd ever get sex is to rape someone, I'd be fine with that, and never touch anyone ever again. If it got bad, I'd jump off a bridge.

I don't even so much talk to women on the bus. If someone gets off before me, and is walking the way I am, I try to get ahead of her, or I go the long way around. Costs me an extra 20 minutes, but I never want a woman to think I'm following her at 11:30PM.

So, feel free to tell me how I'm wrong with a parent wanting to make their kid take responsibility for doing a truly terrible thing.

Third body found on South Carolina property of accused mass killer

A third body has been found on the rural South Carolina property of a registered sex offender arrested after a woman missing for two months was found chained there inside a metal storage container, a county coroner said on Monday.

The last two bodies unearthed have not yet been identified, even by gender, Spartanburg County Coroner Rusty Clevenger told reporters at a press conference.

Spartanburg County Sheriff Chuck Wright has said that suspect Todd Kohlhepp, 45, may ultimately be linked to as many as seven murders.

Kohlhepp, who works as a real estate agent, was taken into custody on Thursday after sheriff's deputies who went to his property in the town of Woodruff heard banging from the storage container and found 30-year-old Kala Brown inside, chained by the neck.
