WAUKESHA, Wis. (CBS 58) -- There is at least one person dead and more than 20 injured after an SUV drove through the Waukesha Holiday Parade route Sunday evening. Nov. 21.

The Waukesha Police Chief announced Saturday night that a person of interest in Waukesha Holiday Parade attack is in custody.

A shelter in place warning was issued by the Waukesha Police Department at approximately 7:05 p.m. and lasted until around 8:08 p.m.

“We will not be releasing information on fatalities at this time as we work to inform loved ones,” the Waukesha Chief of Police said.

Extreme gerrymandering. Koch funded government takeover, a state where we are known where Russ Feingold couldn't get reelected. I live the demise. I wish there were an option to move to a saner state or country.

My daughter worked for Russ Feingold until he lost to *Ron Johnson. If ever I felt Democracy was wonderfully alive, strong, and alive it was visiting her at Russ's office. Officials have recovered a vehicle after a red SUV ran through crowds at the Waukesha, Wisconsin, holiday parade, Police Chief Dan Thompson told reporters moments ago.

"We have a person of interest that we are looking into at this time," he said.

When asked if the person of interest is in custody, he repeated that there is a person of interest, and said he needed to get more information.

Officials are planning to hold a news conference at 8:30 p.m. ET.

30. This is my hometown. The hubby and I decided to stay home because it was too windy & cold.

With his COPD he doesn't do well when it's blustery and damp. I am in shock. We heard all the sirens from emergency vehicles shooting past our house when it happened. Shortly before midnight, the City of Waukesha posted to its Twitter and Facebook accounts revised casualty totals.

"At this time, we can confirm that 5 people are deceased and over 40 are injured," the statement said. "However, these numbers may change as we collect additional information."

Earlier, authorities said 11 adults and 12 children were ferried to local hospitals. Others were taken by friends and family. Children's Wisconsin hospital said it had 15 patients and no fatalities.

I'm just sick to my stomach. This hits too close to home.

I'm hearing the people struck were a high school marching band and young girls from the local Catholic school.

I was locked down in a grocery store with about 20 other people for about 15 minutes and of course one guy had to be a drama queen about it all. He just had to be on his way. Kids may be dead. But I hope your milk didn't spoil, dude.
