My 88 yr old, UC Davis Aggie Alumni (DU “lurker” to use her words) mother asked that I post this to DU on her behalf and I am enthusiastically doing so.

Attached is a shocking public humiliation aimed at the trans community during Pride month. Beth Bourne, the Program Coordinator for UC Davis’ STEPS+ Program, tweeted the attached video of herself engaged in a vile verbal assault on another guest.

Here’s hoping Chancellor Gary May does the right thing and fires her immediately for her bragging bigotry.

In Hawaiian culture mahus—transgendered and and homosexual folks—were viewed by the ancient Hawaiians as a normal, even honored element of the social culture that preceded missionary days. That tradition carries on in Hawaii today despite the spite of the missionaries and their progeny. Hawaii just isn’t a good vacation fit for that lady. She’s lucky nobody went slap her head.

And she drove away her non-binary child. This woman has serious mental health issues.
