Republican Karl Rove says Trump got 'crushed by a woman he called dumb as a rock' during 'train wreck' debate

Source: The Independent

Karl Rove, the Republican political consultant and deputy chief of staff in the George W Bush administration, has pulled no punches in an op-ed saying that Donald Trump’s debate against Kamala Harris was a “train wreck” for him.

Calling Trump’s debate performance “catastrophic”, he goes as far as to say that he was “crushed by a woman he previously dismissed as ‘dumb as a rock’.”

Writing in The Wall Street Journal, Rove says the former president’s performance was “far worse than anything Team Trump could have imagined” and Trump was “visibly rattled” as Harris “launched rocket after rocket at him.”

Rove notes that according to an analysis by The New York Times, Harris spent 46 percent of her time on the attack, while Trump’s attacks only amounted to 29 percent of his time.

local level when she was in CA. He saw back then, what folks are seeing now. They didn't want her to win the AG race in CA. Not just because of CA, because they knew that was a stepping stone for what they realized then was a talented politician. Lawrence O'Donnell said, people were calling her " the female Obama" back then.
He's known all along that she was not to be underestimated.

As a side note, I cannot understand why people are so surprised at how well she did. She was a rank and file prosecutor, then ran for District Attorney and won, then ran for Attorney General and won, then ran for Senate and won. What did they think she was doing all those years?
Prosecutors have to analyze lots of data and evidence and in essence, put on a performance in court, or carry their game face even in settlement meetings. That same thing carried over in the Senate. We saw it when she grilled Sessions and Barr.

trump is not worthy to be in the same room with VP Harris. I am glad she looked at him with scorn and laughed at him. For all his shit talking, he couldn't say it to her face. He couldn't even look at her. LOL

2. I think they were worried because of her debate(s) in the 2020 primaries.

But it's so different debating in a primary with nice people who are members of your team. And you don't want to disable them in case they win the nomination.

herself.Unfortunately for women, and especially women of color, when you are assertive, you are often called angry. When Biden was still deciding on who to pick for VP, there were articles about her being "too ambitious". Like seriously, when has a man ever been called " too ambitious?"
I think some of that talk might have unconsciously or consciously caused her to not be her usual self. She's in her element now. People that have known her for a long time, say this is the Kamala they knew in CA. Add on the years she was under the tutelage of Joe Biden. She's lethal.

In hindsight, it seems to be working out well. Since they couldn't paint her as an angry black woman. They tried to make her out as dumb because she's a joyful person that laughs.

Well they effed around and found out, "Laffin Kamala" kicked his ass all up and down that debate.

He said the obamas were admitted to top schools bc of affirmative action.
This is a man who can't string 2 sentences together. So him calling Kamala dumb or by whatever names is another manifestation of his insecurities.

7. I will laugh my butt off if Kamala wins Ohio. It would do several things.

1.) JD Vance, "Senator from Ohio", will have been of no use to Dumpy the Clown. He can take his guy liner home and cry with a cat.

2.) In 2008, Karl Rove was being interviewed (I think by Faux), and said that if "Obama wins Ohio he wins the election." Then a few seconds later someone blurted that Obama won Ohio. Rove looked on in stunned silence.

Now they want Trump to go away while they work on the House and Senate to try and secure that and Trump's hurting that effort.
