Biden, Harris to headline Hispanic Heritage Month gala and conference

President Biden will deliver a swan song address on Thursday at the premier gala celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month in Washington, headlining the event in person for the third year in a row.
Ahead of Biden’s appearance at the Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute (CHCI) gala, on Wednesday Vice President Harris will address the annual CHCI conference that precedes the party. Biden and First Lady Jill Biden will also host a Hispanic Heritage Month reception at the White House.
“It is an honor to have President Biden and Vice President Harris participate in this year’s CHCI Leadership Conference and Gala as we celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month,” said CHCI Board Chair Rep. Adriano Espaillat (D-N.Y.). “Their participation is a powerful reminder of the administration’s consistent work to deliver for Latino families and communities,” Espaillat added. “We are appreciative of their ongoing efforts and are honored to have them join this year’s events.”
The 2024 gala will be the 47th edition of the event, which traditionally invites sitting presidents to address the audience.
