Democrats to Regain Control of Pennsylvania House

Democrats will regain their majority in the Pennsylvania House today when voters in two Philadelphia-area districts head to the polls to fill vacancies, the AP reports.

No Republican filed to run in either district.

have been marred by so much turnover of seats - whether the Rep. died in office or resigned for another position (I think in one case, to be a Judge) or because of scandal.

I hope that with this upcoming election, we can pick up some more seats to solidify the majority and give us some cushion (it's only a 1-seat advantage right now but it still makes a huge difference in getting stuff done - at least in the state House).

Arizona, Colorado, Florida, Maryland, Missouri, Montana, Nevada and South Dakota. New York also has a ballot measure that proponents say would protect abortion rights, though there’s a dispute about its impact.
