Republicans in swing states say they see scant signs of groups door-knocking for Trump

Source: AP

LANSING, Mich. (AP) — Republican activists in swing states say they have seen little sign of the teams tasked with knocking on doors and turning out infrequent voters on behalf of Donald Trump, raising concerns about the party’s presidential nominee relying on outside groups for an important part of his campaign operations.

Trump and the Republican National Committee he controls opted to share get-out-the-vote duties in key parts of the most competitive states this year with groups such as America PAC, the organization supported by billionaire Elon Musk.

It is difficult to demonstrate that something is not happening. But with fewer than 50 days until the Nov. 5 election, dozens of Republican officials, activists and operatives in Michigan, North Carolina and other battleground states say they have rarely or never witnessed the group’s canvassers. In Arizona and Nevada, the Musk-backed political action committee replaced its door-knocking company just this past week.

Trump has relied on the loyalty of his fervent base, in an election expected to pivot on turnout. The spotty evidence, however, of what was portrayed as a sophisticated operation has some party activists questioning the operation’s value. Trump’s campaign views the race with Vice President Kamala Harris as a toss-up among likely voters but believes it has the edge among people who stayed away in 2016 and 2020, making it even more essential to reach them.

He's not going to get new converts to the cult. They don't have any enthusiasm.

On our side, Kamala Harris has only one direction to go: up. She is gaining support while his has stagnated long ago.

I also see more Harris signs (so far) than Trump signs in my neighborhood. I live in a blue city surrounded by red areas and it sure looks like there's a lot more enthusiasm on our side.

They are putting all their energy into the subversion to steal the presidency post-election.

All of the fascists are working full time to undermine the intregrity of the vote, to disenfranchise as many people as possible, attack polling places, and then incite violence to steal the election they know they are going to lose. We must be ready and must be willing to do whatever is necessary to save our Republic.

Even a fraction in big states makes a difference.

Harris really needs to try to beef up their alternate path as well. NC, AZ, NV. GA is a mess. You need a large margin GA to assure win. However, many minorities in ATL seem to be leaning Trump. Not majority but more than in 2020.

8. This is exactly what he always does

When he goes into a business or when he became president, he took away funding from workers, social welfare, cleanliness, safety, regulatory support and health. Anything that can be reduced and minimized so he can either gobble up the profits, force funding into his pet projects or use the funds to pay for his lavish, excessive lifestyle and his bills

So as soon as he got his weird daughter in law in to run the GOP, he closed almost all satellite offices even in battleground states. He cut his ground game to practically nothing.

He thinks the positive spin from the captured corporate media and the evangelical churches will do the work for him. Turns out, even volunteers need to be organized and supervised. Some amount of hired help is required to direct them.

The corporate media is still running interference for him but it's just not enough. And the churches aren't organized and enthusiastic enough to get out the vote for him. He really has no ground game.

But Harris does.

10. You're kidding me? You (AP News article) fully expect tRUMP to spend money on things like this? He's already grabbed

the money and ran, and is trying to suck every last drop of blood/money that he can while he can. He already knows that he lost, it takes a moron to not realize this, and surely, he had advisors tell him to not take Pres. Biden lying down w/o doing anything, and he did, he got lazy, he got greedy, grabbed all of the money and ran off w/ it, and then when things got serious, and Pres. Biden moved aside in favor of his VP to run in his stead, things really got heavy-duty and serious for tRUMP, and he as a result of his laziness and greed (no money was left in his political coffers), he well on his way to losing, a well justified loss.

A classic case of counting ones' chickens before they hatched, eh?
