Oct 3 (Reuters) - Vice President Kamala Harris plans to campaign with former Congresswoman Liz Cheney on Thursday in Wisconsin as the Democratic presidential candidate tries to court Republican and centrist voters in a battleground state for the Nov. 5 election.

...............
.................

She has adopted a center-to-right-leaning stance on several issues, including her staunch support for Israel, a border policy tough on migrants, and an all-of-the-above energy strategy to keep fuel costs low.

However, recent polling shows Harris is struggling to gain traction with Republican voters despite hundreds of former and current Republican officials in the military, national security and local governments having publicly backed her.

The event is set to take place in Ripon, Wisconsin at a one-room schoolhouse significant to the Republican party: it was the site of meetings that led to the party's formation in 1854 and is referred to as the party's birthplace.......................

The Little White Schoolhouse known as the birthplace of the Republican Party
The Little White School House

What we know as the Little White Schoolhouse was built in 1853 as Ripon’s first public school. In 1854, several men came together in this schoolhouse because they did not want slavery extended into the western territories. This meeting led to naming a new political party. Designated as a National Historic Landmark it is also listed on the State and National Registry of Historic Places.

First located on the triangle of Blackburn, Thorne, and East Fond du Lac Streets, the building served as a schoolhouse until 1860. It was moved and remodeled to a be a private house and George W. Peck, who became Governor of Wisconsin, once lived there. Over the years the Little White Schoolhouse was moved several times and now resides at 1074 West Fond Du Lac Street. It is open to the public as a museum and run by a non-profit organization. More information can be found on their website. https://www.LWSH.org

Again same old attacking Democrats as moderates/centrists/establishment/same as Republicans/not progressive. Goal to discourage Left-leaning voters to vote.

RW hate radio, religious yammering, and country music. Maybe some metal or oldies. Have been doing a lot of road trips and all I have is a car radio for entertainment. The RW propanda has been getting ever more extreme, the Democratic Party said to have "'ordered" the assassination of Drump, Kamala Harris channeling the "Jezebel spirit" whatever that is. I could go on. I dont know how this gets fought against - effective advertising and more of these Repubs/former Repubs getting out there and making it clear you can be conservative and STILL want to choose a candidate that's pro-democracy and pro-rule of law. We can all go back to our regularly scheduled programming later!!!!

I think Soros is attempting to buy a block of AM stations and maybe Mark Cuban too?? I sure hope so. The fascists have a 40 year head start in that area.

Good organization in place means you can try to expand. Even a shift in the low 10,000s is meaningful in WI.

Republicans, moderates, moderate Republicans, and independents will respond well to this. Definitely a power move that needs to be amplified.
