"Ahead of sentencing, Peters asked 21st Judicial District Judge Matthew Barrett for probation. She said she recognized the jury’s decision but that the jury wasn’t allowed to hear other evidence she wanted to present. That evidence was largely tied to conspiracies about Dominion Voting Machines, which were ruled inadmissible.

As he handed down the sentence, Barrett said Peters is privileged compared to the usual defendants he sees, and that she had not shown remorse. He preceded his sentence with a blistering critique of her actions and attitude, calling her an attention-seeking charlatan peddling snake oil “time and time again.”

“I’m convinced you would do it all over again if you could,” Barrett said. “You’re as defiant a defendant as this court has seen.” [Pols emphasis]"

So at this very second, another trump lackey is getting strip-searched and getting her orange jump suit. I bet she'll look so cute to her new neighbors in her new society.

BREAKING NEWS: DENVER (AP) — Former Colorado county clerk Tina Peters has been sentenced to 9 years behind bars for voting system data scheme.

A former Colorado county clerk has been sentenced to nine years behind bars for leading a scheme to breach voting system data in her county.

Judge Matthew Barrett handed down the sentence Thursday after a jury found Tina Peters guilty of most charges against her in August.

Peters was the first election official to be charged with a security breach amid the rampant false claims that widespread fraud altered the outcome of the 2020 presidential race.

Peters was convicted for allowing a county security card to be misused to give a man access to the Mesa County election system and for deceiving other officials about that person’s identity.............................
