Elon Musk's mom says cheating for Trump isn't 'illegal.' Twitter fires back: 'You're just as dumb as your son'
Source: nj.com
One thing for sure: The Musk family is all in for Donald Trump and election lies.
While Elon Musk carmaker, owner of Twitter/X, government contractor and conspiracy theorist was hopping around the stage at a rally for Trump at a Pennsylvania rally on Saturday, his mother was suggesting a way for Trump supporters to cheat in Novembers presidential election against Kamala Harris.
Maye Musk, by the way, has 1.1 million followers on Twitter/X, her reach no doubt helped by the owner.
When her son tweeted, Super important to get all your friends and family to register to vote. Georgias registration deadline is Monday!! Maye Musk offered her own voting strategy.
The Democrats have given us another option, she tweeted. You dont have to register to vote. On Election Day, have 10 fake names, go to 10 polling booths and vote 10 times. Thats 100 votes, and its not illegal. Maybe we should work the system too.
Actually, that is illegal and even Twitter/Xs fact-checking labeled it so with an embarrassing community note that explained, This is, in fact, illegal, while citing the law. But that wasnt all: Maye Musks tweet drew immediate and brutal mocking on social media:
So, youre just as dumb as your son. Good to know.
Even Elons mom is stupid.
Great idea, Maye. I think you should film yourself doing this and post it.
Many suggested that Tina Peters a MAGA Trump supporter who tampered with election data and was sentenced to nine years in prison on Friday might need a cellmate or a prison buddy.

(2,527 posts)you make up a fake name and then you go to vote. You get to the people with computers in front of them, and they ask your name. You give the fake name. It is not in their computer as a registered voter in that district. And so you say what? I don't know about where other people vote, but you can't just walk in here and grab a ballot. Nobody gets past those computers. Gosh maybe we are super-advanced or something in this small town. Or is it possible she has no concept of how one votes?

(118 posts)In the state of Georgia, it's a Voter-ID state. You have to have a government-issued ID. If you give them some kind of State ID, they actually scan the barcode on the back of the ID and pull up your registration information. On one occasion, the lady that was doing the check-in seemed to be taking quite her time carefully examining my GA driver's license. She was about 3 seconds away from me loudly saying: "Ma'am, is there a problem?" before she finally let me pass.
But say you get some fake IDs. Because you didn't register, you won't be on the rolls. Even if you contest you are a resident of Georgia, at some address, at most you will be given a provisional ballot, which won't count if they cannot verify you address within 3 days of the election.
I think I remember for early voting in 2020, we had to fill out a form before we could even get to the check-in. It basically stated that you were voting for a certain election period, and that you were made aware you cannot vote again on Election Day, and some other stuff and then had to be signed. The form had to be filled out and dated correctly, even specifying the date be written as mm/dd/yyyy (all four digits for the year). They kicked the form back to you if you didn't do it correctly.
It's practically impossible, although that shouldn't even have to be said

(1,327 posts)is not remotely doable by simple logistics--- nevermind the fact that it is illegal and unlikely that you could identify yourself as 10 different voters in each precinct....
Total stupidity--- but it is bad because it is encouraging Trump voters to think about ways that they might cast fake votes and break election laws....

"In some Christian belief systems, an antinomian is one who takes the principle of salvation by faith and divine grace to the point of asserting that the saved are not bound to follow the moral law contained in the Ten Commandments.[2][3] Antinomians believe that faith alone guarantees eternal security in heaven, regardless of one's actions.[4]"
Even the Ten Commandments.

Mmmmmm . . . encouraging others to break the law and promising to pay their fines - where have I heard that before?
That didn't go too well, if I remember correctly.
