Trump supporter who bragged he'd be cleared of Jan. 6 charges and would be paid 'a huge premium' gets 2 years in prison

A supporter of former President Donald Trump from Montana, who bragged that not only would he be cleared of charges for entering the U.S. Capitol building during the Jan. 6 riots but would be paid “a huge premium” for it, will spend two years in prison.

Henry Phillip “Hank” Muntzer, 55, learned his fate on Thursday after he was found guilty in February of obstruction of an official proceeding, civil disorder, trespassing, disorderly conduct and picketing in the Capitol and was ordered to pay $2,000 restitution. The charge of obstructing an official proceeding was dismissed before sentencing because a U.S. Supreme Court ruling in June made it more difficult to prosecute that charge, The Associated Press reported.

As Law&Crime reported in February, the defendant was a part of the “Stop the Steal” rally when rioters disrupted a joint session of the U.S. Congress counting the electoral votes for the 2020 presidential election. Muntzer entered the Capitol that afternoon — at one point, recording a video of himself commenting that he had passed “through all the tear gas” to “tak[e] the Capitol by storm,” officials said.

Inside, Muntzer was involved in physical confrontations with law enforcement and joined a crowd of rioters confronting officers blocking a doorway leading to the Capitol’s Upper West Terrace. He joined a group of rioters pushing back at officers, who had their backs to a set of stairs, officials said. At one point, Muntzer resisted police efforts to clear the Rotunda and was one of the last rioters in the area before leaving the building at 3:22 p.m., authorities said. FBI agents arrested him on Jan. 18, 2021.

. . . to see over 1,000 of these people who attempted an armed coup in jail, I am not happy that my tax $$ are feeding, housing, clothing, entertaining, and providing medical treatment to them.

In every other country I know of, anyone who attempts a coup and fails, gets one of three fates:
1. Execution. Sometimes on the spot.
2. Jail. For a long time. And they do not get to lounge around DC jail, forming a J6 choir, appearing on podcasts, and generally being treated like prison royalty.
3. Exile. To a foreign country from which they do not return. Ever.

I'm in favor of 1 or 3.

Want to see some J6'ers in action with their supporters? Here you are:

Because once they get out, they'll commit more domestic terrorism.

I think the Capitol Police should have started "dropping" every single one of them as they came through a window or door. Period.

I think the rest of these assholes, would have tucked tail and run.....................

does one have to be to believe that you would be cleared of a crime, and then to get paid for the crime? I'm guessing, "Pretty damn toopid". Very typical of any/all Chump supporters.

his Facebook posts were riddled with typos. It's an interesting thing to point out. My brother, deep into MAGAt stuff, also has typo riddled posts. On Twitter, he simply answers every question with a Yes or a No. His entire feed is just Yes or No. He got on Twitter as soon as E-loon purchased it at the end of 2022. No followers and only following E-Loon, and an endless stream of Yes and No.

The OG posters on Twitter know the low IQ levels of the MAGAts and don't bother to engage in conversations. Just things like "Do you think Trump should put Elon in his administration? Yes or No?" "Do you think Dan Bongino would be a good Secretary of Defense? Yes or No" "Do you think Hillary should be put in jail? Yes or No?".

WEIRD!

The Executive Branch cannot unilaterally "lock someone up".

The Judicial Branch does that.

So you can thank Chief Justice John Roberts of our most Supreme Court, for magnificently delaying any adjudication of the matter.

And in the case of NYC, thank Judge Juan Merchan for delaying the sentencing for the 34 convictions obtained by Manhattan D.A. Alvin Bragg.

One can also add to that Judge Scott McAfee in the state of GA, for systematically removing charges from D.A. Fani Willis' case while going after her instead of 45 and his criminal cabal.

He went "through all the tear gas to TAKE THE CAPITOL BY STORM"--meaning overthrow the Gov and he gets 24 months. Total BULLSHIT.
