Liz Cheney issues dire warning about 'fundamentally cruel' Trump, agrees he's a 'fascist'

Former GOP Rep. Liz Cheney on Sunday issued a series of dire warnings about a potential future Trump administration, telling NBC News’ “Meet the Press” that people ought to “carefully” consider what another Trump presidency would look like. “Donald Trump believes he will be immune for anything he does once he’s in office,” Cheney, a fierce Trump critic, told moderator Kristen Welker.

The former congresswoman, who has endorsed Vice President Kamala Harris and has campaigned with her, pointed to the Supreme Court’s ruling in July that the former president is immune from criminal prosecution for certain official actions he took while in office.

“Donald Trump believes he will be immune for anything he does once he’s in office,” she said. “He will not respect the rulings of our courts, and people have to realize our courts can’t enforce their own rulings. So if a president refuses to carry out his obligation to do so, then we are no longer a nation of laws.” “The people that stopped him from his worst desires last time around won’t serve again,” she added.

Cheney also declined to disagree with remarks from retired Gen. Mark Milley, who was chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff under Trump and President Joe Biden, calling Trump “a fascist to the core” in a forthcoming book by Bob Woodward. “I have tremendous respect for for Gen. Milley, and I see no reason to disagree with that assessment,” Cheney said.

Question is if significant numbers are listening.

It's ridiculous that this election focuses on 7 states. No surprises in the other 43? Iowa, Nebraska, Florida?

The possibility of Trump returning to office is being thrown at us full force this Sunday. I guess with 3 weeks remaining the public should be reminded.

Walz did appearances in OH and NE (and he's going back to NE next week), and her hubby Doug has been in FL. She did actually do a campaign appearance in Houston the day before Sheila Jackson-Lee's funeral.

In fact, the gubernatorial surrogates have been doing appearances in some of the other states.

And agree that the RW-owned corporate media is scared, so the tone and tenor of their articles have switched to "the horse race narrative" mode now. "All the polls" are moving his way and she is "not even getting what Biden got" (even though their earlier "narrative" was that "everyone hated Biden" back then and now). You just get sick of it.

(as FYI, I have tried to post this 4 times and kept getting 504 gateway timeout errors )

I finally gave up and went to the grocery store. Seems to be okay now.

Actually, I think all the polls showing T ahead and Harris failing are because it's exactly the opposite... TRUMP is failing, and Harris is ahead. But that doesn't fit the MSM's agenda for profit on top of profit. I mean, after all... who's going to bring more clicks? A demented CiC with his finger near the button or Harris? They're all about the green, ya know...

I.e., a bunch of RW-leaning polls got dumped into the aggregator poll sites like 538, and started skewing the results, which is why they flubbed so badly with their predictions about the Kansas abortion codification referendum vote (and every other similar one in a state since), let alone their drumbeat about the ridiculous "Red Tsunami".

And to this day, they STILL haven't learned their lesson as they keep oversampling GOP voters convinced that there are all these "quiet" 45 voters out there while they refuse to even entertain the idea that we are seeing a circa 2008/Obama-era (or higher) level of enthusiasm going on among Democrats. They insist that GOP voters don't respond to polls but for some reason, Democrats do (I certainly DON'T), and it's BULLSHIT. The loud MAGats that they love so are the first to get in on a poll and will also flood comment sections of articles and videos with their vile diatribes, so there is nothing "shy" about them.

Also, the American people better do more than "carefully consider" what a 2nd trump administration would do.
