Chiefs' Harrison Butker forms political action committee to promote traditional values
Source: Kansas City Star
Harrison Butker, the kicker for the Kansas City Chiefs, established a political action committee called Upright PAC this weekend, taking another step into the world of electoral politics. Butker announced the PAC alongside an endorsement of Missouri Sen. Josh Hawley on social media, saying he would use the PAC to encourage Christians to vote. Were seeing our values under attack every day. In our schools, in the media, and even from our own government, the PACs website says. But we have a chance to fight back and reclaim the traditional values that have made this country great. Thats why UPRIGHT PAC was founded. The PAC was established on September 23, according to documents filed with the Federal Elections Commission, and it was filed by the Red Curve Solutions, a Republican-associated political consulting group that helps organizations navigate federal regulations.

Sorry I'm busy eating lunch. I'm sure I could think up 20 more things.
And although I'm a White Anglo-Saxon born and raised in Alabama and Florida and South Carolina and Georgia, I am having a totally untraditional meal at a Filipino restaurant, in Los Angeles, and it's freaking delicious. I'm sure they'll have handcuffs ready for me at some point for writing that sentence.

I don't care about them living their own lives according to their values. Just don't tell me that i have to live mine according to their values if they don't align with my values.

Here is hoping you miss every fucking XP and FG the rest of the year.
Im a hard core Dem. Im over 80 years old living in MAGA territory. And that is stressful, believe me. Ive already mailed in my ballot -straight Dem pro choice. I cant stand Buttker now & curse him every time he walks on the field. EXCEPT when that ball is headed through the uprights. After the kick I curse him some more. Ive been a diehard Chiefs fan since long before the Orange Turd & intend to remain one after he and our kicker are gone. Gotta have one thing left to cheer for these days. Oh I forgot weve got Taylor Swift in the stands most Games. I wonder how Butker feels about that.

(149 posts)I'm a lifelong Packer fan, and our three Super Bowl winning QBs were Starr (fundie), Favre (republican caught in massive welfare fraud scheme) and Rodgers (Covid-denying, anti-vax conspiracy theory believing douchebag extrordinaire). But the Packers as an institution are as Wisconsin as you can get, and this place has been my home for 56 of my 58 years. Chances are good a lot of the Chiefs hate Butker, too, but hey, he makes his kicks. Hell, all of the Packers save two or three sycophants hated Rodgers by the end, too.

So, I guess to some of these, maximizing shareholder wealth of insurance companies is a traditional value.

Anyone who wants a guide to what traditional values actually are should look to President Jimmy Carter. And take note of who he's voting for.
