23 Nobel Prize-winning economists call Harris' economic plan 'vastly superior' to Trump's

Source: CNN.com

CNN

More than half of the living US recipients of the Nobel Prize for economics signed a letter that called Vice President Kamala Harris’ economic agenda “vastly superior” to the plans laid out by former President Donald Trump.

Twenty-three Nobel Prize-winning economists signed onto the letter, including two of the three most recent recipients.

“While each of us has different views on the particulars of various economic policies, we believe that, overall, Harris’ economic agenda will improve our nation’s health, investment, sustainability, resilience, employment opportunities, and fairness and be vastly superior to the counterproductive economic agenda of Donald Trump,” the economists write in the letter obtained by CNN.

The progressive tax regime of the 1950s was a success, the Reagan, Bush and Trump tax cuts have all be associated with economic regression. It is simple low income people spend all their income fast and local. The wealthy get to a point where they can't or don't spend fast, often just shuffle it among themselves trading luxury items. It was eye opening to me to see that info about income multiplier and how much larger the multiplier was for the bottom 60% compared to the top 10%. the bottom cohort income multiplied (recirculated) nearly 11 times in the next twelve months, and for the top cohort it wasn't even once more, it was .4 more times in twelve months. The other thing I learned was how military, police and prison spending don't crowd out private investors and are a type of "welfare for the already wealthy".

Younger males and males without college degrees don't care about Nobel Price winning economists, it might even make them vote for Trump instead. This is the kind of stuff that might help with older voters though. As sad as it is to say I'd rather see more "Eminem raps for Harris" that's what people respond to and that's what Trump has always understood.
