VP Harris will build 'ferocious dictatorship' if elected, excommunicated archbishop claims

WASHINGTON (TNND) -- Catholic Archbishop Carlo Maria Vigan issued an open letter to American voters Tuesday which cast doubt on Vice President Kamala Harris's ability to lead the nation if elected president on November 5.

In July, Vigan was banished from the church for refusing to submit to Pope Francis, a crime known as "reserved delict of schism." While the pope has dismissed both candidates as being "against life," Vigan wrote in his letter he supports former President Donald Trump.

"On one side we have candidate Donald J. Trump, who, despite serious problems in his positions - especially in the matter of abortion and assisted procreation - has as his objective the common good and the protection of the fundamental freedoms of citizens," Vigan wrote. "In Donald Trump's America, every Catholic can practice their Faith and educate their children in it without interference from the State."


The archbishop then addressed Harris, who he claimed would lead the nation into a dark place if elected in November.

If you hear anywhere that an Archbishop of the Catholic church has endorsed Trump -- it's a lie. While he (inexplicably) retains the title, he has officially excommunicated from the Church last summer.

I'm posting this here because Catholics and others may not realize he has been excommunicated and his words do not come from the Catholic Church.. Years ago, under Pope Benedict, he was in the US as a representative of the Vatican.

Kamala isn't the only one Vigano has been slurring. He's also viciously attacked Pope Francis, which is part of why he was excommunicated.

Such drastic steps are exceedingly rare in the church and illustrated the extent to which Viganò — the Vatican’s former ambassador to the United States — is perceived to have crossed a line. He has called on the pope to resign and excoriated him in harsh terms, including calling him “a servant of Satan.”

asked me about this letter, and I realized not every Catholic , much less every Christian, knows that Vigano -- who used to be the Vatican's representative to the US -- does not speak for the Catholic Church.

15. Dictatorship? It takes one to know one, you hypocrites!

Forget the sex abuse allegations and hypocritical morality for a minute. You don't need a masters/doctorate in history to know how much of a theocratic dictatorship the Catholic Church was for centuries in Europe. It's why it was called the Dark Ages for a reason. Trust me, I have been to Europe and visited predominately Catholic countries in my time there, visiting many cathedrals, museums of history, and so forth. Of course they will not admit that they were a dictatorship during those times. But to say that Kamala Harris will probably lead to a dictatorship is the height of hypocrisy, especially given their recent allegations. But this archbishop, like many religious who support Trump, have no right to talk about morality and dictatorship, especially the former. Trump, who has done adultery, married multiple times and has being screwing around with a pornographic star, is the last person I would consider moral, especially when according to your religion, it specifically states against that, but you are willing to sweep it under the rug. So really they need to shut up.
