LA Times owner blocked Kamala endorsement to protest Gaza war, daughter reveals
Source: AOL News
The Los Angeles Times billionaire owner Patrick Soon-Shiong blocked his newspaper from endorsing Vice President Harris to protest her support of Israels war in Gaza, his daughter reveled on Saturday.
Nika Soon-Shiong, a 31-year-old far-left political activist, has been accused in the past of having undo influence at the paper, where she has no formal role.
Our family made the joint decision not to endorse a Presidential candidate. This was the first and only time I have been involved in the process, the younger Soon-Shiong said in a statement to the The New York Times.

(64,614 posts)Viewing Israel through the lens of American colonialism is a mistake. The two histories have very little in common.
America, including the United States, was colonized by Europeans who conducted deliberate genocide, while simultaneously building an economy on the labor of enslaved people. Our history is ours to own and reckon with.
The history of Israel is one of defense and refuge from thousands of years of anti-Jewish oppression, culminating (but not ending) in deliberate genocide in the 1940s by Nazis and Muslim Arabs, who sought to kill every Jew in the Middle East. Israel has made mistakes but their intention is one of safety and refuge, not domination.

"having undo influence at the paper,"
A pet peeve of mine. A professional writer should know the difference between "undo" and "undue".
