NATO confirms North Korean troops deployed in Russian war on Ukraine

Source: ABC News

LONDON -- NATO confirmed on Monday that North Korean troops have been deployed to fight alongside their Russian counterparts in the Kursk region, the area within Russia where Ukraine has been waging an assault.

"The deployment of North Korean troops represents: one, a significant escalation in the DPRK ongoing involvement in Russia's illegal war," NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte said, using the acronym of the country's official name -- the Democratic People's Republic of Korea.

"Two, yet another breach of U.N. Security Council resolutions. And three, a dangerous expansion of Russia's war," he added. He called on Russia and North Korea to "cease these actions immediately."

North Korea has denied the reports of its forces being active in Russia or Ukraine.

Should the USA and NATO adjust their current positions regarding Ukraine?

Iran with it's inexpensive yet effective Shahed drones - thousands of them.
NK with it's ballistic missiles and now troops.
And of course Russia.

NATO is in a jam here.
Western weapons systems are VERY expensive, especially when dealing with thousands of Iranian drones that drain air defenses.

NATO needs to either shit or get off the pot.

Ukraine needs allies like Russia has.

Last night alone, Russia sent in 100 Shahed drones at Ukrainian cities. Seemingly endless supply

Send advanced air defense systems and troops to operate them to Ukraine.

The massive refugee problem needs to be addressed sooner rather than later.

Once Ukraine falls, the millions who will be fleeing is going to be in the 10's of millions. Sadly.

Putin now has NK meat waves at his disposal...sickening how inept the west is.

Poland or maybe Finland will be next.

We've been providing billions in arms to Ukraine. We don't have "meat waves" to send.

Putin cannot be allowed to have it both ways. Either this is a war between Russia and Ukraine OR it also involves the combatants' allies. Putin has escalated by fielding NK troops. If his escalation is not answered, there will be further escalations.

I challenge your conclusion that Ukraine will fall. It has not fallen yet and the Ukrainians seem unwilling to bend the knee. Capitulation is contrary to their national nature. As the Ukrainian national anthem says "We’ll not spare either our souls or bodies to get freedom and we’ll prove that we brothers are of Kozak (Cossack) kin."

The west has not been inept, merely timid. If Putin is not stopped in Ukraine, NATO will have to fight Russia in Poland or Finland. I would prefer the fight occur in Ukraine. Fortunately, I'm not the maker of that decision.

Russia has too many allies.

No way they can sustain a war against these countries.
