The founder of the Proud Boys, the far-right group that played a major role in the January 6 riot at the US Capitol and was memorably instructed by Donald Trump to stand back and stand by, has told the makers of a Trump documentary: We want to make America hate again.
Gavin McInnes, the UK-born British Canadian citizen who co-founded Vice magazine and was influential in the New York hipster scene of the early 2000s before becoming a far-right militia figure, also claimed to the BBC that his group wasnt responsible for what happened that day.
It was you, he told the makers of the documentary, which has aired on the BBCs Panorama strand. If anyone should apologise
it should be the corrupt leftwing media, and Ill accept your apology now if you want to do it.
The program Trump: A Second Chance? talks to ardent Trump supporters about their enduring support for the New York property developer and reality TV show figure who faced two impeachment inquiries during four years in office and has been indicted in four separate criminal cases since, including being found guilty of 34 felony counts.

(102,491 posts)on the grounds that it was "satire". It was attacking a left-wing position, but the DUers thought that being satire defended it against anything.

(35,702 posts)I don't remember hearing about him until the last few years - since Jan 6th.

(102,491 posts)He had been appearing on Fox News (again, as "satire" against left wingers) before the 2014 article. The article appeared in a magazine run by a neo-Nazi supporter (Taki Theodoracopulos). This made no difference to most of the DUers defending him in the thread.

(13,238 posts)Nobody needs to waste time explaining "stochastic." If you're explaining, you're losing. I just don't see the advantage of using that vocabulary when simplifying it gets the point across way better.
One thing is for sure, there's no goddamn way Republicans would be using "stochastic" in their messaging if it were the other way around.

(9,666 posts)...how so, shit-for-brains? Did they report too honestly on the non-stolen election? Did they rile up Trump's base by showing too much of Trump on TV? Did the left-wing media urge the dregs of society to show up in DC on Jan 6?
No way I could ever sit thru that "documentary."

(727 posts)These people have to take a pledge and agree to no criming when they sign on to become citizens, don't they? Deportation should be an available option.
