WASHINGTON - Independent presidential candidate Cornel West has asked the Supreme Court to make Pennsylvania polling sites let voters know they can write in his name on Election Day.

West filed that emergency request days before Tuesday's election after failing to get on the ballot in the battleground state. West is more likely to draw votes away from Vice President Kamala Harris than from former President Donald Trump.

Pennsylvania's top court backed the secretary of state's decision that West lacked the required affidavits for most of his presidential electors so was ineligible.

When West sought help from the federal courts, U.S. District Judge J. Nicholas Ranjan said the rules appear to intentionally make it harder for third-party candidates to get on the ballot. But Ranjan said it was too close to the election to intervene. An appeals court also rejected West's request for help.

Poll workers are not there to run advertisements.
I think that would also be a violation of federal law since there is no campaigning in a polling station -- can't even wear a hat or sweater of your preferred candidate that is visible
If I were working a station and was told I had to tell people, I'd bring a paper with hundreds of names on it and read each of those names as choices and mention him in the middle
He's not entitled to this special privilege.

seat at the table during the Democratic Convention in 2016, when immediately after the Democratic Convention he publicly endorsed Jill Stein over Hillary Clinton, and encouraged his supporters to do the same.

In 2016 Cornell West was given a seat at the table during the Democratic Convention, even though he was not a Democrat, and after the Convention immediately left and endorsed Jill Stein.

that West doesn't care that he is being used. Is having one's name in the news that important that he's willing to risk being taken away after January if the Convicted Felon is installed again. Cornel is getting up there in age and is not likely to survive very long in the concentration camp to which he will be sentenced for being an 'enemy of the state'. Some people are so blind by greed or the desire for power or fame that they ignore the warning signs. The Convicted Felon's cult followers have made it clear what they intend to do to US. We can't let that happen.

13. There was some legislation that had been passed by the (D)-controlled House in 2021

H.R.1 - For the People Act of 2021

and it died in the Senate due to the 60-vote cloture Rule.

That bill would add quite a bit more "federal standardization" to the existing voting rights law. But absent that, it goes back to the states per the Constitution -
