In a bathroom stall, a simple message: Vote Harris. No one will know.

Source: Washington Post

Women in swing states, Republican strongholds and Democratic cities are leaving notes for other women to see, encouraging them to vote their minds and reminding them that their ballots are secret. (Jill Nash; Olivia Dreizen Howell; Jenny Dreizen)

One woman stuck a note to the door of her hair salon in North Carolina. Another pressed it onto the back of a tampon box in Arkansas. A third hung one on a mirror of a women’s bathroom at an Ohio airport. “Woman to woman,” the note read. “No one sees your vote at the polls.”

In swing states and Republican strongholds, on college campuses and in sports arenas, sticky notes have appeared reminding women that their votes are confidential — kept private even and especially from the men in their lives.

The origins of the trend are unclear, but the co-founder of Women for Harris-Walz, a grassroots group supporting the vice president’s campaign, says her members have been sticking notes in bathrooms and similar spaces for months, encouraging women to vote their own minds and reminding them that their ballot is secret.

Now, in the final days of the presidential race, what started as a whisper campaign by women and for women has become the subject of a controversial 30-second ad, been amplified by Democratic juggernauts such as Michelle Obama and drawn furious backlash from the right.

At 73 living in the desert, I drink a lot of water and have no find bathrooms in town.
An easy thing to do

had texted about an hour ago with a pic of one of the stickies in the bathroom at the airport. It has "No one has to know how you vote".

So that is my anecdotal evidence of this going on!

how if the wife votes for Harris/Walz it is tantamount to having an affair, and a bunch of other toxic you-know-what.

Hey, jerks, that isn't how it looks in reality-land. Let me tell you. If I told my wife I expected her to vote the way I told her to, everything would stop until she made it perfectly clear to me that she would vote how she wanted and I have NO say in it.

Sure, we tell each other how we are voting, but I would never dream of trying to boss her around. That would be what I call a 'marriage limiting move.'

We have been doing this for quite a while. Yes, I am in blue Illinois, but I am in a red area. We use pink stickies.

My motto has been for a while, "vote blue, you know you want to", but I've never talked about it.

cards made up with #s on the back for anti trump sites. I would always leave them in womens restrooms...or just tucked here and there.

During college when the ERA was big, there were posters in the campus womens restrooms "IF YOU'RE 18 AND FEMALE YOU ARE A WOMAN'.

Women protect women and womens restrooms have historically been a place for Activism.

Mens restrooms have tel numbers..women's restrooms are bulletin boards

i still post (troll) on Twit land and every post I make is ended with a reminded that NO one will see how you vote.
