A judge on Monday rejected a request by the Philadelphia District Attorney to block a $1 million daily giveaway by Tesla CEO Elon Musks political action committee to voters in registered voters in Pennsylvania and other swing states before Election Day.
Philadelphia County Common Pleas Court Judge Angelo Foglietta in an order said he would explain his reason for denying the request to block the giveaway, which the DA has called an illegal lottery, in a later written ruling.
The order came after a hearing where DA Larry Krasner testified, We are seeing, what I consider to be, in my opinion, guilty knowledge of an illegal lottery by Musks America PAC, which is backing Donald Trump in the presidential election against Kamala Harris.
They know what theyre doing is illegal and they are doing everything under the sun to clean it up, Krasner said. He called the promotion, which the PAC says has awarded $16 million to date, a scam, and grift.

This hearing was only about PA's request for an emergency injunction.
