Status of provisional ballots.
How many were in line when polls closed?
How many were told they had to leave when they had a right to vote if on line before closing?
I am guessing they had observers at key locations and have some notes to compare.

(15 posts)But she will, because they think it is the "right thing" to do for the country. But it isn't.
We've got to come to the realization that you don't defeat fascism by treating it like any other political philosophy and giving in. Or willingly hand over power to a fascist leader.
Too many on our side still have not woken up to what we are dealing with here.

I wish she wouldn't concede.

(19,158 posts)There were a lot of provisional votes in my polling place yesterday. The experienced Voting Location Manager said there were more than usual. Also many paper ballots.
Some states weren't allowed to count early or main-in ballots till last night.
At least make sure every last vote is counted. Conceding for the sake of the country doesn't make sense. I am not inclined to accept that criminals are running my country, not now and probably not even after all the votes got counted.
Also, get rid of the electoral college.
President Biden needs to expand the (formerly) s.c. now
Do whatever need to be done to delay and confound the criminals getting ready to assault America.

(14,288 posts)Expanding the Court require Congressional
Action. Changing the electoral college requires a Constitutional Amendment.
Or do you just want to storm
The Capitol?
the (formerly) supreme court just handed sweeping powers to the president. Mr. Biden is President. Let him test the intent of the (formerly) s.c. And if his actions create remedies that piss off rwnj and cause their agenda to be delayed and thwarted, all the better for all of the people who are going to suffer from the implementation of project 2025.
Other people on DU have posted that the electoral college needs to be retired. That is what I'm suggesting, not storming the capitol.
Why do you want to be disagreeable? Surely, as a DUer with over 14,000 posts, you realize that people are hurting, angry, and fearful. Where else are we going to post our feelings?

I feel so bad for Kamala because she would have been an excellent President.
I said the same thing about Hillary 8 years ago.

REALLY?!! Come on. I know a piece of sh!t when I see it AND smell it. You should too.

https://www.forbes.com/sites/saradorn/2024/11/03/why-outlier-poll-showing-harris-winning-iowa-could-spell-trouble-for-trump/
& The Iowa Poll of 808 likely voters conducted Oct. 28-31 and released late Saturday (margin of error 3.4 points) shows Harris ahead 47%-44% in the state, after Trump led by four points in Iowa in Selzers September poll for the paper and by 18 points in June against President Joe Biden.
The poll found politically independent voters, women and older voters are the driving force behind Harris rise in the state, which could be a bellwether for the rest of the country.
Harris has overtaken Trumps support among independents as a whole in Iowa, and now leads 46%-39%, and she leads by 28 points among independent women, a sharp swing since Septembers five-point lead, though independent men still favor Trump by a much smaller 47%-37% margin.
Harris leads women over the age of 65, 63%-28%, and men in that age bracket 47%-45%, the poll found.
Selzer, revered among politicos, got her start in polling as a staffer at the Des Moines Register, and has overseen its Iowa poll since 1987, branching off to found her own firm, Selzer & Co., in the 1990s.
Statistician Nate Silver ranks Selzer among the top two highest rated pollsters in the U.S., second only to the New York Times/Siena, according to his grading scale, which factors in historical accuracy and transparency/disclosure standards, along with the pollsters statistical bias toward Democratic or Republican candidates.
Selzers best-known poll is perhaps her 2008 poll that accurately predicted an influx of first-time caucusgoers would deliver former President Barack Obama a victory.

SUDDENLY, TRUMP won there DESPITE the OVERWHELMING support for Kamala? This makes NO sense!

(18,383 posts)called my Senator - Schumer, and told the person that the Sen should go to Prs Biden and note there are Trump supporters in the FBI but that they needed a digital forensic look, and maybe elrctro-mechanical look at those machines in GA, and other States where shenanigans took place. Uncounted votes.
Then called the WH for VP Harris to ask her not yet concede w so many uncounted votes.
I had to say something!

with them because Project 2025 is going to thrusted on everyone. Plus that fucking Elon said the American people are in for "hardship".
We take1 steps forward and multiple steps back. All the work President Biden will all be dismantled.
People vote against their own best interests.

(621 posts)I know of a MAGA who voted for Trump.
They voted against their own self-interest.
They get flu vaccines every fall.
Trump is on record that he might ban some vaccines.
This could create a healthcare crisis, never mind the bird flu.
They also complain about needing help for a disabled loved one.
Harris proposed expanding Medicare for home health care.

(18,383 posts)*when you've seen concession speeches they're usually given inside at a Election HQ - which she would have done had she spoke that night.
I just sort of carried that image into today.

(143,318 posts)including video screens, maybe netted balloons, etc., so a pivot needed to happen. They were probably considering having it inside but then they had to break down all of that stuff.
The logistics of making a switch would take time so having an outdoor venue and getting a stage + some bleachers set up seemed prudent and a faster way to to do the change-up. And thankfully the weather has been cooperating with the above normal temps and no rain!

(115,872 posts)Vice President Kamala Harris addressed the nation from Howard University, her alma mater, publicly conceding defeat in the presidential election to Donald Trump.
"The outcome of this election is not what we wanted, not what we fought for, not what we voted for," she said. "But hear me when I say the light of America's promise will always burn bright as long as we never give up and as long as we keep fighting."
She urged her supporters to accept the results of the election
"We owe loyalty not to a president or a party, but to the Constitution of the United States," she said.
