AP Race Call: Donald Trump wins Michigan
By THE ASSOCIATED PRESS

Former President Donald Trump won Michigan on Wednesday, reclaiming the battleground state and its 15 electoral votes for the Republicans after Joe Biden flipped it in 2020 on his way to the White House. Trump won Michigan in 2016 by just over 10,000 votes, marking the first time a Republican presidential candidate had secured the state in nearly three decades. Trump’s Democratic opponent, Vice President Kamala Harris, faced concerns that discontent among Democrats in metro Detroit over the Biden administration’s handling of the Israel-Hamas war could jeopardize her campaign. The Associated Press declared Trump the winner at 12:54 p.m. EST.

2. I lay this squarely with Dearborn, Jill Stein, and Kshama Sawant.

Joe Biden did not start the conflict in Gaza. He was put in a terrible position and navigated it as best he could. I doubt that anyone wanted a ceasefire more than he did.

I'm amazed at the blinders people put on. I shouldn't be, but I am.

Sawant should have stayed the fuck in her lane. I literally hate her.

3. Jill Stein is disgusting, but giving Kamala all of Jill Stein's votes, Trump would still win Michigan by 37,000 votes

At least that's based on current vote totals. In fact, you could give Kamala all of Stein's votes and all of RFK Jr.'s votes in Michigan and Trump would still be ahead by over 14,500 votes.

4. True, but they also encouraged people not to vote at all for President.

I think that needs to be factored in, too. And they also probably got Trump some votes. The Democratic Senate candidate won the statewide race.

5. Elissa Slotkin, the Democratic Senate candidate actually got fewer votes than Kamala.

She was saved, thank goodness, by the fact that the Libertarian and US Taxpayer parties siphoned off 96 thousand conservative votes.

8. Well, since I'm still in pissed off mode, let me say that I hope Trump rounds up all his Michigan

Muslim voters and sends them back to the old country. I was going to say Gaza, but Netanyahu will now have a green light to nuke it and get it over with. No more peace negotiations for Trump, it'll just be bigger bombs.
