Isn't this strange a pres address in election week?

(143,063 posts)I don't think it will be exactly what you say. I think it will also include what the plans are between now and January 20, 2025 at noon.
As an example - Obama's original E.O. dubbed "DACA" (Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals) has survived many court battles since 2012 and is currently in court again (at the 5th Circuit Appeals level) as of last month - Judges Probe DACA's Harm to States in Fifth Circuit Showdown.
BUT the fact that it has lasted this long is a case in point for what the Biden administration might do with some of the E.O.s to make it harder for 45 to reverse them.

(230 posts)I keep thinking, surely there are contingencies. Surely the Biden Administration wouldve gamed out the worst case scenarios and not leave us to them without at least attempting to put mechanisms in place to protect what it can for as long as it can.
It may be naive but thats my fervent hope.
